The Garden Cottage at Strand House

Tucked just across the garden from Strand House, Little Strand offers a quieter, more private way to stay — with the same warmth and care throughout.

Two double rooms, each with their own character. Room 8 is a comfortable double with a walk-in shower en-suite. Room 9 spans two levels — a double bedroom on the ground floor with a private terrace and bath/shower en-suite, and upstairs a kitchen, sitting room with wood burner and projector, and a balcony looking out over the meadowland. Book a room on its own, or take both and have the whole cottage to yourselves.

Set against open National Trust meadowland, it’s a place to slow down. Mornings start with light through the windows and breakfast taken in Strand House breakfast room or the garden. Days drift between coast, countryside, and the calm of your own space.

Inside the cottage is simply and thoughtfully styled — heritage details, soft textures, and a pared-back approach that lets the setting speak for itself. It feels relaxed, comfortable, and quietly considered.
